Jean-Marc Brocard Saint Claire Chablis 2020 (France: Burgundy) (ID# 3512)

Name Jean-Marc Brocard Saint Claire Chablis 2020 (ID# 3512)
Varietal Chardonnay
Region France: Burgundy
Notes "Some of the vines here are over 70 years old. Even with a reticent, understated nose one can sense the energy and precision in this wine. There’s a lovely, creamy texture on the palate, with bright citrus notes and a long, lingering, savoury, mineral finish. A very fine example of Chablis which would compete very effectively against many a premier cru." (Decanter Magazine)

Additional Notes

"Smoky, flinty notes suggest some reduction at first but open nicely to reveal green-plum and yuzu aromas. Sourced from a single vineyard of 30-year-old, organically farmed vines, it's a fresh, cutting lime and lemon sip with a long, delightfully chalky finish. The wine drinks well young but should hold through 2027." (Wine Enthusiast)
