Notes | "The “Pignocco” gets its name from a legendary and particularly imposing and bushy pine tree situated at the top of a hill surrounded by vineyards. This is an easy-drinking wine, vinified and aged only in stainless steel to enhance its approachability. Floral perfumes are accompanied by notes of almond and peach; in the mouth it is fresh and savory with a persistent and pleasant aftertaste of almond. The Pignocco is extremely versatile, an ideal accompaniment to appetizers and light dishes." (Winemaker's Notes) Imported by Kermit Lynch. | |||
Additional Notes "Very pretty in the glass, with green-tinged yellow hues and a spicy and floral bouquet. It’s soft in texture, yet with a salty, savory thrust that offsets its ripe melon and apple notes, while leaving you with a clean and refreshing sensation. The Pignocco is vinified all in stainless steel tanks, and it is a nice introduction to the Santa Barbara style. Sip with abandon." (Vinous) |
