Sierra Cantabria 2018 (Spain: Rioja) (ID# 3353)

Name Sierra Cantabria 2018 (ID# 3353)
Varietal Rosado
Region Spain: Rioja
Notes "The super pale 2018 Rosado is a clarete blend of 55% white Viura, 40% Garnacha and 10% Tempranillo from a late harvest, when they went back to the dates from yesteryear. The grapes underwent a three-day maceration, and the juice fermented in stainless steel and was bottled unoaked. It's very floral, aromatic and elegant, closer to a white than a red, really textured, even with some fine tannins. It's tasty, fresh and clean, very pleasant." (Wine Advocate)

Additional Notes

"Despite the pale color, this rosé is rich on the palate, with watermelon and mulberry flavors, supported by tangerine acidity. Firm acidity keeps this focused. Viura, Garnacha and Tempranillo. Drink now. 5,500 cases made, 2,000 cases imported." (Wine Spectator)
