Name D'Arenberg The Stump Jump 2016
Varietal White Blend
Region Australia: McLaren Vale
Notes "Fragrant and juicy, with spicy rose petal, wild strawberry and peach flavors on a medium body. Offers a vibrant, refreshing finish. Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Drink now. 2,100 cases imported." (Wine Spectator) "The 2016 The Stump Jump Riesling / Sauvignon Blanc / Marsanne / Roussanne has pleasant baking spice and honeysuckle scents over a core of honeydew melons and warm pears. Light to medium-bodied, the palate has a rasping backbone of acidity with a pleasant satiny texture and a long, spicy finish." (Wine Advocate)

Additional Notes

"An unusual blend of 60% Riesling, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, with a little Marsanne and Roussanne, this wine offers bright, zippy notes of lemony and white pepper. The acidity on the palate is rather searing and is mildly balanced by some sweetness, but the sugar sticks on out the finish. Nevertheless, there's a bight, citrusy quality that is appealing."
