Billaud-Simon 2015 (France: Burgundy)

Name Billaud-Simon 2015
Varietal Chablis
Region France: Burgundy
Notes "Offers atypical flavors of lemon, basil and peppery greens. This white stays compact and moderately long. Drink now. 650 cases imported." (Wine Spectator) "Pale, bright yellow. Exotic aromas of soft citrus fruits and mango. A fat, sweet wine with good density and thickness but modest thrust. In a distinctly soft style (this is carrying 3.6 grams per liter of acidity) and lacking distinction. An easy village wine for drinking young. Billaud noted that his 2015 premier crus have healthier acidity than the '016s, normally close to 4 grams." (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous)
