Esporao 2016 (Portugal: Alentejo) (ID# 2872)

Name Esporao 2016 (ID# 2872)
Varietal Trincadeira (DOC)
Region Portugal: Alentejo
Notes "A pure, fresh, medium-bodied style, overt and fruit-forward, with no sign of oak. Attractive and easy-going, with a satisfying varietal typicity." (Decanter) "The 2016 Trincadeira T is unoaked, aged in cement tanks... It finishes dry and has good acidity to go with the blackberries. There's a little tannic pop but not much. Instead, the fruity demeanor pops up quickly. This is very nice. (Wine Advocate)

Additional Notes

"Made from one of the most widely planted varieties in Portugal (known as Tinta Amarela in the Douro), this is a soft wine with attractively juicy fruit that is made to drink young. Its gentle tannins and red-fruit flavors are open, lifted by some tannins and ready to drink from 2018." (Wine Enthusiast)
