Notes | "There is a new entry-level red from purchased grapes called 2015 Tío Uco. It's mainly Tinta de Toro (aka Tempranillo) from vines aged between 15- and 30-years-old with some 10% older Garnacha. It's a young and fruit-driven red, clean and fresh, very easy to drink and very pleasant. It develops some notes of licorice with time in the glass. The palate has a similar profile, quite straightforward, with clean flavors and a very tasty finish. I know this is ideal with tapas, because I tried it in a bar in Toro before I sat down to taste the wine." (Wine Advocate) | |||
