Angulo Innocenti 2013 (Argentina: Mendoza) (ID# 2650)

Name Angulo Innocenti 2013 (ID# 2650)
Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon
Region Argentina: Mendoza
Notes "Pungent mineral lift to the aromas of blackberry, raspberry and sweet spices. More concentrated and deeper than the Nonni Cabernet but with strong acidity accentuated by a repeating mineral quality and a touch of mint. This rather penetrating Cabernet conveys good energy and lift and will rely more on its acidity than on its tannins for longevity. Finishes with an attractive light touch." (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous) Decanter Magazine: 90 points

Additional Notes

"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the estate vineyards at La Consulta. It has a classic, ripe Cabernet nose mixing leafy aromas with notes of cherries in liqueur and plenty of spices and hints of graphite and cedar wood denoting some sweetness. The palate is medium to full-bodied with plenty of herbal flavors and very polished tannins." (Wine Advocate) "Cherry and kirsch on the palate and well-balanced oak vanilla flavours. This is all about the beautiful tannin structure that gives real grip and weight to the wine." (Decanter Magazine)
