| Notes | "The 2015 Faithful Hound was matured 30% in new French oak barriques, the remainder in second- and third-fill French oak barriques. It has a ripe, earthy, blackberry and briar bouquet with hints of powdery dark chocolate and damp clay. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, that dark chocolate on the nose infusing the black dusky fruit. Missing just a little detail toward the finish but impressive in terms of length. Give this a couple of years in bottle." (Vinous) | |||
Additional Notes "A smoldering bay leaf accent leads off, followed by a core of cherry paste and black currant preserves that melds steadily with tobacco, sanguine and cedar notes through the focused finish. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec." (Wine Spectator) |
