Chateau Pegau Cuvee Lone 2014 (France: Rhone, Southern) (ID# 2505)

Name Chateau Pegau Cuvee Lone 2014 (ID# 2505)
Varietal Cotes-Du-Rhone Blanc
Region France: Rhone, Southern
Notes From celebrated Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape producer, Laurence Feraud, comes this terrific white wine. A blend of Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc and Ugni Blanc, it's deliciously distinctive, showcasing the estate’s excellent terroir with the unmistakable imprint of Pegau. "Bright jasmine and honeysuckle notes lead the way, followed by fresh melon rind and lemon curd flavors. A floral edge persists through the finish. Drink now. 1,250 cases made." (Wine Spectator)

Additional Notes

"Ripe pear, melon and tarragon on the pungent nose. Fleshy and broad on the palate, offering bitter pear skin and lemon curd flavors and a touch of chamomile. Finishes chewy and firm, showing lingering pear and anise notes and a late jolt of ginger. Pretty grown-up for the category, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this wine aging nicely over the next few years." (Josh Raynolds, Vinous)
