Damilano 2010 (Italy: Piedmont) (ID# 2257)

Name Damilano 2010 (ID# 2257)
Varietal Barolo Brunate (DOCG)
Region Italy: Piedmont
Notes "The 2010 Barolo Brunate offers plenty of the bold thickness that is characteristic of this single vineyard. The Barolo offers a deep degree of dimension and purity with focused tones of wild berry, red cherry and balsam herb. It has a long way to go, but is already showing encouraging signs of evolution and ongoing complexity. Drink: 2017-2032." (Wine Advocate)

Additional Notes

"An intense fragrance of exotic incense along with whiffs of violets and perfumed berries take center stage on this elegant but structured wine. The bright palate delivers crushed red cherry alongside sweet cake spices. The silky texture makes this already tempting but give it time to develop. Drink 2020–2040." (Wine Enthusiast) "Dark red cherries, plums, licorice, tobacco and smoke flesh out in Damilano's 2010 Barolo Brunate. Here, too, the fruit is quite juicy and forward, which only adds to the wine's considerable near-term appeal. I don't expect the 2010 to be a long-term ager, but it is quite pretty today." (Antonio Galloni)
