Gianni Brunelli 2013 (Italy: Tuscany) (ID# 2110)

Name Gianni Brunelli 2013 (ID# 2110)
Varietal Rosso Di Montalcino (DOC)
Region Italy: Tuscany
Notes "Aged just nine months in oak, the 2013 Rosso di Montalcino shows primary fruit aromas of forest berry and white cherry. Those tones are soon followed by blanched almond, mild spice and dried garden herb. The wine is never too fussy or serious and that's exactly what makes it appealing. Its crips acidity and lean mouthfeel would pair nicely with spicy fried chicken wings or barbecued ribs." (Wine Advocate)

Additional Notes

"The 2013 Rosso di Montalcino is fresh, floral and lifted, with plenty of near-term appeal. Silky tannins add to an overall impression of gracefulness in this expressive, feminine Rosso. Crushed flowers, mint, sweet red cherries and cinnamon add the final layers of nuance." (Antonio Galloni, Vinous)
