---|---|---|---|---|
Varietal | Lirac Blanc | |||
Region | France: Rhone, Southern | |||
Notes | "Very racy in feel, offering jasmine, citrus oil and white peach notes, carried by a stony edge. The long, fresh finish echoes with a hint of yellow apple skin. Drink now. 300 cases imported." (Wine Spectator) | |||
Additional Notes "An intriguing blend of 50% Grenache Blanc and the rest equal parts Clairette and Roussanne. The 2014 Lirac Blanc le Plateau des Chenes aged in 600-liter demi-muids, from 60- to 80-year-old vines. It has crisp, elegant, flowery notes with a hint of pear, white flowers and citrus oil. The wine is medium-bodied, fresh, dry, very lively and elegant. Drink it over the next 1-2 years." (Robert Parker, Wine Advocate) |
