Villa Pillo Borgoforte 2013

Villa Pillo is a traditional Tuscan Farm founded in Medieval times and mentioned in many historical documents. It's located directly in the heart of the Chianti area, equidistant from the cities of Pisa, Florence and Siena. Borgoforte is the name of a small village in the middle of their estate.

Borgoforte is a Super Tuscan red blend which combines Cabernet Sauvignon (40%) and Merlot (10%) along with the classical (and completely awesome) famous grape of Tuscany, Sangiovese (50%).

The grapes are picked at optimum ripeness to ensure a wine that expresses itself in its ripe black fruit components and full body. For smoothness and elegance this wine is aged in small oak barrels.

Pair with pasta, red meats and game or drink on its own.
