---|---|---|---|---|
Varietal | Cabernet Sauvignon | |||
Region | Australia: McLaren Vale | |||
Notes | "Good Cabernet is an amalgam of savoury notes and black-currant. In McLaren Vale the black currant has a little more stage time giving the impression of sweet fruit while being bone dry, as it should be. The fine dry tannins inherent in the Villain are supported by this plush red fruit. In other words the astringency in the wine gives a hint of dark chocolate, a touch of herbaceousness, and sitting in the background like ‘white noise’, is some French oak."
