Gerard Boulay Monts Damnes Sancerre 2023 (France: Loire Valley) (ID# 4507)

Name Gerard Boulay Monts Damnes Sancerre 2023 (ID# 4507)
Varietal Sauvignon Blanc
Region France: Loire Valley
Notes "Old vines located on a steep slope in the Mont Damnes vineyard. Vines average 45 years old. The soil is kimmeridgian clay or "terre blanche" (similar to the soils of Chablis). Gerard works the soils manually, the vines are farmed using organic methods and all grapes are harvested by hand. If you want a Sauvignon Blanc that is perfectly balanced between fresh, exuberant fruit and lean, saline minerality than Boulay really is your guy." (Winemaker's Notes) Importer: Vineyard Road. This single vineyard Sancerre is exceptional and worth the splurge!
