| Notes | "The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon DI CO is one of the most harmonious wines in this range. Dark red fruit, iron, dried flowers, menthol and dried herbs give the 2021 striking savory presence to match its bold personality. In its best vintages the DI CO Cabernet punches above its weight. This is one of those years. This is a fabulous showing. In 2020, the DI CO Cabernet is 60% Raphael Vineyard in Oak Knoll and 40% Ferrogiarro Vineyard in Coombsville, the first time the Coombsville site has been used for this bottling. (Drink between 2024-2033)" (Vinous) | |||
Additional Notes "A new bottling for Di Costanzo (and the winery's first white wine), the 2021 Chardonnay Di Co—from a one-acre parcel planted four years ago to cuttings from the Chuy Vineyard—was entirely barrel fermented in 40% new French oak. Boasting lovely scents of toasted hazelnuts and cashews, it follows those up with ripe pear, pineapple and melon-like fruit, plus a slightly honeyed note. Despite being labeled at 13.2% alcohol, it comes across as substantially fuller. It's plump and succulent, with a long, mouthwatering finish." (Wine Advocate) |
