DeMorgenzon 2014 (South Africa: Stellenbosch)

Name DeMorgenzon 2014
Varietal Reserve Chenin Blanc
Region South Africa: Stellenbosch
Notes "The 2014 DMZ Chenin Blanc comes from three vineyards in Stellenbosch and is raised in stainless steel for five months, 20% raised in old French oak. It has a crisp, light bouquet with touches of grass clippings and Conference pear. The palate is nicely balanced with touches of pear, pithy nectarine fruit and a crisp, malic, ginger-tinged finish. Fine." (Wine Advocate)

Additional Notes

"Pale straw-yellow. Hints of honeysuckle, yellow plum, yellow peach and wet wool on the nose, with a touch of spicy oak. Supple and juicy in the mouth, with just a touch of honeyed sweetness. Fine-grained Chenin Blanc with good sneaky length." (Vinous)
