Notes | "Bright pale yellow. Musky, highly nuanced nose melds stone fruits, candied ginger, chicken broth and mint. Ripe, open and generous, offering immediate appeal to its fat, sweet, round flavors of yellow peach, spices and flowers. I would have picked this blind as a Meursault. Delicious chardonnay, finishing ripe and long, with a slightly exotic character." (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous) | |||
Additional Notes "The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots has a slightly smudged bouquet that detracts from terroir expression. The palate is well-balanced with good acidity and depth, plenty of fresh citrus fruit intermingling with pear and orange peel, and the oak nicely interwoven on the finish. Give this a year or two to allow the aromatics to fully integrate. Drink 2016-2025." (Wine Advocate) |
