Region | France: Burgundy
Notes | "Bright medium red. Liqueur-like cherry and spices on the inviting nose. Dense and savory on the palate, with very good cut and saline complexity to the flavors of dark cherry, rose petal and spices. Finishes youthfully medicinal, persistent and perfumed, with excellent structure for Mercurey. The crop level here was about 40 hectoliters per hectare, or about 10% lower than usual, noted." (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous)
Additional Notes "Stylish, offering black cherry and blackberry fruit, framed by spicy oak. Juicy and silky in texture, with fine balance and a lingering aftertaste of fruit and spice. Best from 2017-2028. 2,960 cases made." (Wine Spectator) |
