Creta Roble 2013 (Spain: Ribera del Duero)

Name Creta Roble 2013
Varietal Tempranillo
Region Spain: Ribera del Duero
Notes "The 2013 Creta Roble, is also a custom cuvée from importer Eric Solomon. Made from 60-plus-year-old vines from an area of Ribera del Duera known as La Horra (Pingus and Aalto emerged from this area as well). This expansive, savory, complex, deep ruby/purple red wine shows notes of new saddle leather, black and red currants, has a savory, medium-bodied expansive mouthfeel, with loads of black fruits, licorice, subtle smoke and earth. This is a lovely, sexy, opulent style of wine to drink over the next 4-5 years." (Robert Parker, Wine Advocate)
